Overview: Located in Heatonville in the Zululand region of KwaZulu Natal, this family owned and operated, lodge offers elegant accommodation with a distinct African influence. Elephant Lodge has only 8 luxury thatched chalets which exude an air of colonial elegance. Facilities at the lodge include a Central living area, Boma, viewing deck, Wine cellar, curio shop, Swimming pool, The Marula Bar, conference center, private lounge with bar and library. The luxury tented camp has 8 beautifully designed tents each with private viewing decks, mosquito nets, fans and luxurious en-suite bathroom with Victorian bath and outside shower in the luxury double tents. Meals comprise a fusion of the most delicate fare combined with exotic flavours and enhanced with the finest South African wines. These can be enjoyed either in the dining room, around the pool, on the verandah, or in the Boma around the fire under the African sky. Activities: Open vehicle game drives, bush walks, tracking, bush dining, Optional extra's: Sangoma expeditions in the rural Zulu Village, Game drives in Hluluwe/Umfolozi Game Reserve, 18-hole golf, Whale watching (June to October). Overview: Mtonjaneni Lodge is set amongst the majestic hills next to Dingaan`s Spring , overlooking the tranquil valley of the kings in Zululand.The log cabins well positioned and comfortably furnished are an attraction of their own. They support 2 identical units per log cabin (14 units, 28 beds) with their own tea, coffee and bathroom facilities. Each bedroom has a television. Homemade breakfast, lunch and dinners are served in a cosy well positioned dining area.
